Broadly agreed to be a drink that evolved from the Manhattan, swapping out whisky for gin of course. The Martinez was originally based either on genever or old tom gin but, as recipes developed, more London Dry Gins or even contemporary gins are used for the cocktail.

Classic Recipe

Ingredients

  • 60ml N.I.P RARE DRY GIN

  • 30ml Sweet vermouth

  • 10ml Dry vermouth

  • 15ml Orange curacao liqueur

  • 1 Dash Angostura bitters


Glassware: Coupe / Nick & Nora

Garnish: Orange twist

Ice: No

Method: Stirred


Serve

  1. Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into coupe / Nick & Nora glass.

  2. Garnish and serve.



Signature Recipe

Ingredient

  • 40ml N.I.P RARE DRY GIN

  • 20ml Mancino vermouth rosso

  • 10ml Ancho reyes

  • 5ml Cherry liqueur

  • 2 Dashes orange bitters


Glassware: Nick & Nora

Garnish: Maraschino cherry or orange twist

Ice: No

Method: Stirred


Serve

  1. Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into coupe glass.

  2. Garnish and serve.
